In 1899, the General Assembly of PA passed an act which arranged
for the compilation of the record "of soldiers and sailors from
PA who served in the Spanish-American War, as shown by the muster-in
and muster-out rolls on file in the Adjutant General's Office
of PA." It was further provided that the record should "give
the name, residence, date of enrollment, rank, promotions, date
of death or discharge, and such other information as may be
obtainable by the Adjutant General." This book is the result
of this act. If your ancestor served in PA in the Spanish American
